Trex 450 Pro first maiden flight
Everything stock except CF Flybar, Flybar weights, CF Tail blades. Lot of people complained about GP780 gyro, but mine looks ok. There’s very light buzz like tail vibration may be from training gear. If you are experienced pilot, please tell me if my 450 sounds / looks / flies ok. I ordered Spartan Quark Gyro for that minor tail vibration. It doesn’t affect the flight characteristic much, but still annoying. Other than that, I love my 450 very much. I had very smooth, responsive, and confident feeling from the first flight. Took this video yesterday (6/19/2010) – Thanks dad! First flight in a few weeks so the thumbs are a bit rusty… There were a few grass stains on the blades after this flight. Sorry for the bad video quality. I’m looking at getting an HD camera in the future.

CopterX 500 With Align GP780 Gyro – Indoor Testflight
Testing CX500 with the new GP780 Gyro. I will put the gyro at the bottom of the heli cause the top mount is traight on the torquetube holder and there it is a lot of vibrations.. Other than that this heli rocks.. Not much room in a small gym so my nerves are at high point. * The correct operation, performance and stability of your gyro can be greatly affected by the way it is fixed on the aircraft. It is essential that the gyro is mounted on a flat surface accurately perpendicular to the main shaft. When possible choose a rigid mounting location close to the main shaft. Avoid mounting the gyro on weak structures such as the electronics tray at the front of the helicopter; these locations are often subject to substantially more vibration. * The supplied mounting kit contains a stainless steel plate and adhesive foam pads which have been selected by Spartan RC to give the correct mass and shore hardness for effective vibration damping. Using other types of adhesive tapes will affect the balance and the performance of your gyro. Harder tapes will pass more vibration to the gyro while softer tapes may allow the gyro to wobble thus incorrectly sensing motion as a result of gyroscopic precession. * In high vibration environments the use the supplied steel plate and two layers of the 3mm foam tape for mounting the gyro. * Do not fix the cable to the helicopter for the first 5cm (2 inches) from the gyro end to reduce transmission of vibrations through the cable. * Do not fit …
