FPV= abbreviation for “First Person View” I think a FPV video consists of: 1) Picture Quality (Vibrations, interference, signal loss,…) An external HD camcorder on the plane is no real FPV, only the picture you are flying with counts! Of course HD is more beautiful but the title would be “Best FPV Flight Recorded with HD Onboard Camera” and not “Best FPV Flight” 2) Editing (Cutting, music,…) This video is only the proof that it was a single flight, watch the original video! 3) Pilot skills (Flying 3D or basic aerobatics, size of the helicopter: bigger is easier, flybarless= easier) 4) Location (Grand Canyon, big city ….) 5) Creativity (Chasing cars, firing rockets, crazy stunts…) 6) Thrill (High speed low pass, almost crash….) 7) Scale Plane+ Cockpit: 3 extra points Maybe a “risk factor” should be added to the rating: There is a huge difference if it is possible to see the plane/heli never again (over water, buildings, mountains) or if there is the danger to hurt people.
